FAQ
Straight answers
The questions we get asked before a contract is signed, answered the way we would answer them on a call.
Getting started
Most teams place a test call within a day. Sandbox credentials are issued immediately on signup, and sandbox traffic uses the same routing logic as production, so what you build against is what you ship.
No. There is no volume commitment to get started — you pay for what you use. Committed rates are available where predictable traffic makes them worthwhile; your account manager will model it against your actual usage.
Yes. Ranges under 100 numbers go through the portal. Larger ranges get a named project manager and an agreed rollback plan before anything moves.
Billing & contracts
Per second with a one-second minimum, rated per destination and quality tier. Your rates are published in your portal and any change is notified 30 days in advance.
Calls are not dropped. Capacity bursts automatically, and the overage rate is shown in your portal before you reach the threshold.
Yes. Sub-accounts can roll up to a single invoice or bill separately, set per account. CDRs are tagged either way, so you can rebill accurately.
Technical
G.711 a-law and µ-law, G.729 and Opus. Transcoding happens at the session border controller when the two legs disagree, so you do not have to match your carrier.
Every webhook carries an HMAC-SHA256 signature over the raw body plus a timestamp, using a secret you rotate from the portal. Deliveries retry five times over 30 minutes with exponential backoff.
Yes — 100 requests per second per account by default, returned as standard rate-limit headers. It is raised on request where the traffic justifies it.
Signalling and media both support IPv6 on all session border controllers. Dual-stack is the default.
Compliance & security
You choose a primary region at account creation. Call detail records and recordings stay in that region. Metadata needed for routing may transit other regions but is not retained outside your chosen one.
Retention is configurable per sub-account, from 24 hours to seven years, with a default of 90 days. Deletion is permanent and evidenced in the activity log.
Yes, in markets where a signing framework exists. Calls are signed at origination and the attestation level is returned on the CDR.
